In routine, we use solvents in process for specific purpose and then we discard it to waste as given purpose is served. Many times these discarded solvents can be reclaimed for reuse – either for same purpose or different purpose. Why not reclaim these solvents? It not only saves money for your organization but also saves disposal cost and environment as well. We have dedicated distillation systems for specific usage of solvent recycling. In general, solvent recycling can be broadly classified in to following categories:
We offer a variety of equipment for recycling xylene, alcohol, formalin and xylene substitutes in the histology laboratories. We offer two sizes of systems namely MiniProcycler (10 ltr) and ProCycler (20 ltr). Kindly ask for more details.
Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) is often used to determine average molecular weight in polymers and rubber. Samples of polymer/rubber need to be dissolved in aggressive solvents prior to analysis. Generally solvents used in GPC are Trichlorobenzene (TCB), Hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP), n-methylpyrolidone (NMP), Tetrahydrofuran (THF).
Generally reclaimed solvent has a purity of 99.9% and can be recycled for same application, thereby saving lot of cost. It requires very less time of operator to start the recycling process as our recyclers are microprocessor controlled. These all glass/Teflon recyclers are available in various capacity to suit individual needs. Kindly ask for more details.
Laboratory solvents are expensive. Disposing of used solvents is costlier and difficult as well. Recycling can bring solvents back to laboratory grade or higher and reduce disposal costs by up to 85 -95 %. Generally recycled solvents in laboratory are Toluene, Xylene, Acetone, Isopropanol, Ethanol and many more.
Recycling is accomplished very easily in few steps – as all our recyclers are microprocessor controlled. It takes only few minutes of operators time to load recycler with waste solvent, Start the recycler and collect the recycled solvent at the end.
