B/R Instruments Laboratory Distillation Equipment

Fractional Distillation is one unit process which is used in all laboratories either for isolation, purification, separation of liquids based on their boiling point differences. This technique is unique and indispensable for any laboratory.

Right from the beginning, B/R Instrument Corporation, USA recognized potential in these systems and they began to specialize in manufacturing of spinning band distillation systems in 1968 under a DuPont patent.

B/R bought automation to the world of distillation in 1980 which greatly reduced the amount of operator attention needed for distillation along with the addition of important safety features.

Along the lines of development of fractional distillation system based on Spinning band columns, currently we offer fractional distillation systems based on packed columns as well. Our distillation systems made of either metal or glass ranging from few ml to hundreds of liters of pot sizes, either manually controlled or through PC control. We also offer all the accessories like vacuum control systems, fraction collectors, refrigerated chillers, etc, which are essential for overall good performance for fractional distillation.

In 1986 B/R extended their portfolio to dedicated fractional distillation systems for recycling of solvents in histopathology laboratories. Solvent recycling helps hospitals and labs reduce their solvent wastes by 85%, reducing health care costs and environmental impact.

Fractional distillation is a technique used to purify solvents, chemicals, natural products, petroleum, biodiesel, crude oil and other materials.

It is practically impossible for us to list out all systems offered by us. Here is just overview of some systems. If interested kindly write to us with more details of your application to offer suitable distillation systems.
