Just like the tawa, i believe one can use the brain to temper the passion of the heart... With the tawa (intelligence) alone, one cannot make anything edible... but such is not the case the heart (passion)... Each situation calls for a different temperature, and that (the tawa - the thoughts) which can be adjusted, must be, or the dish shall not be as flavoursome! :) I wonder if that is what the zen master calls balance?
